17082222, good candidate ?
(1/1)

As the title says, just picked this carb up. I'd like to build this carb to go on a 1968 stock 327 that is currently 2bbl. Is this a good candidate ? It's got electric choke and what seems to be APT. This would be my third Q-Jet build since I've read Cliff's book. The previous two have been succesful to say the least. I haven't measured anything yet as I won't be able to work on this thing until a few weeks. This will go on the 327 along with a factory iron 4bbl manifold.

To me, I think this would be a good carb for your application. Let see what Cliff says.
According to my manual, it came from an '82 Chevrolet and GMC Trucks 305cid w/o A/C Non-California A/T.

I just noticed that the secondary air flap is dampened by the REAR pull-off and no link from front pull-off to flap...that is a bummer. A quick look at the top primary side shows what seems to be no air bleeds...could those be the single air bleed carbs ? not sure anymore if it's a good candidate.

Might not, if it has single air bleed.
