Yes, it can cause flooding and loss of fuel control if hooked thru the holes.

Another problem we see is leaking between the seat and the gasket if any old material or the old seal was left in place.....Cliff

 ;) I finally had time to put it back on and take it for a test spin. Life is good. No more hot start issues, and the bog went away.
