I am building a mercruiser 260 or chevy 350 the carb I have was on the engine in the boat.7037576  . I have modified the engine with flat top pistons 76 cc small valve heads that I gasket matched to lt1 z28 dual plane intake. with hyd cam 460 lift 224/224 duration@.050 114 lobe center. will this carb support 300-350 hp. also I noticed the accel. pump shaft is about half inch from touching the arm is this a boat thing or is something wrong with that. do I need to modify this carb or will a stock rebuild work.

ok I took it apart and found out why the accell pump shaft was low because the pump was stuck down due to a little corrosion in the bottom besides that it appears this has been rebuilt before the finish is still on all the bolts and pretty clean inside and gaskets came off well.

What is the stamped part number on the left side of the carb (drivers side).  That number sounds like one inside the circle cast on the back of the main casting.....Cliff
