Quadrajets have been equipped with Viton needle/seat assemblies for decades.  The replacement parts come from various sources, so the quality of the parts vary as well.  All are dubbed to be "Viton".  Seldom do any "kits" contain the high flow needle/seat assemblies.  We see quite a few show up with .110" and .125" seats in them.  The "standard" is the high flow .135" seat, and was used in most of the later model q-jets, and is a viable replacement for any Q-jet.  In other words, there are no negatives from using the larger seat, even if the power level really doesn't require it.

On the subject of Viton parts, we continue to see very poor quality "blue" accellerator pump cups showing up in carbs sent here that need help.  These same "blue" pump cups come from "kits" purchased at auto parts stores and some Internet sources.

Just because the seal is "blue", doesn't mean it's a good part, and ethanol compatible.  We test them here, and most of the blue seals we see swell up and get "punky" after  few hours soaking in modern fuel.

The seal we sell is NOT the same one that shows up in over the counter kits.  It is a much better part, and fine in ethanol, even in E-85......Cliff
