accelerator pump shaft.

I have a question regarding the accelerator pump. How much "slop" can exsist where the shaft exits the carb body? Does it matter if there is some wear?  Any method to bush or seal?  Thanks .

Cliff Ruggles:
Some units will show considerable wear in the airhorn from the pump shaft.  Late model units used an insert to help reduce wear.  We can install an insert in early model airhorns but have only had to do this for extremely worn units.  They will usually be fine with some play in that area.....Cliff
