hotstuff:
wheres a good source for a rochester application manual and , or parts book ? I would like it to cover all years , like holleys black book. Thanks in advance

Ethan1:
I have several carb manuals, but try looking for the GIANT ACDelco manual. Covers all makes, but expensive and sometimes hard to find.

Ethan1:
Or, you can post them on here. I have quite a few carb manuals and would be willing to look any up. 8)

thanks for the offer. My problem is , I have about 300 rochester carbs in my collection , all on index cards by carb number . when Iam at a swap meet ,someone will ask me for a 1967 nova carb for a v6 auto . but do not know the the carb number. why so many carbs ? My wife says Iam a carb picker, some one has to save these old carbs and working on them is fast becoming a lost art. ps I also have holleys, motorcraft, carters ect. A fair amount of rebuild kits, choke pull offs ,and thermostats , but do not tell my wife

It would be extremely difficult to  carry enough information at a swap meet  to decode all the quadrajet carbs.  It would take an AC Delco parts and service manual (the giant one referred to earlier).  One place I would suggest looking for the large Delco book would be Chevrolet parts counter.  Ask if they have any of the old manuals still laying around, either at the dealership or at home.  And, of course, swap meets.  I was lucky to find the large parts service manual plus a Delco Rochester parts manual that goes from 1932 through the mid-60's.  I found these at a friend's house.  He had bought them from Chevrolet years ago.  The Delco Rochester manual shows some wear and age, but it is still very legible.  The AC Delco parts and service manual was in mint condition.  He must have always washed his hands before touching the book!  So, unless you are lucky as I was, you will just have to continue to search swap meets, Chevrolet parts dealerships and perhaps online.

Good luck billy 2
