Cannot Locate Casting Number

Hello:

Just pulled the Qjet from my 71 olds cutlass and I cannot locate the casting number.  Can you tell me with a picture where it should be? Also do I need another number in order to get a rebuild kit or parts.

 Welcome to CHP!

 Should be located on the drivers side. It is on a flat "pad" near the rear of the carb.

 And with the casting number, give it to Cliff and he will have the kit you need. :)

Thanks for the info but I was looking at Cliff's website and supposedly mine would be on a circle tag next to the large QUAD sign.  I have nothing there.  Also it should start with a 7?

A 71 Olds carb would be stamped vertically on the main casting, drivers side, just above the secondary throttle shaft.
