Fuel Filter

I'm going to be using a an in line fuel filter with a nipple for the return line. Is it ok to just leave out the filter behind the fuel inlet on the carb? Or should I use both? Thanks

 IMHO, I would keep both. You never know what trash can get by the first filter. Just to be safe.
