Idle screw too short.
« on: July 04, 2013, 11:07:34 AM »
Run into another problem. While I had the base plate off I bent the linkages and tabs so that the primaries and secondaries stopped at perfect 90 degs. Well in bending the primary tab to stop the primaries from going past 90 has now made it so the idle screw don't reach that tab. Is my best bet going to be finding a long screw and replacing it?

i have an idea that something else is wrong. if you have the correct idle screw .i cant see how you had to bed things that far that the idle screw wont still reach the stop.most of the time it only takes a few .010 to .040 to get the primaries at 90 degrees.if i was smarter than a fith grader i would post some pictures. fwiw
