Choke Pull Off Vacuum Amount

(1/1)

firebird_fast:
Hi, what is the correct amount of vauum I should see when I test the choke pull off?  Thanks.

Shark Racer:
Pump it up until the arm is completely retracted. At that point, it should hold vacuum.

firebird_fast:
I'll give it a shot, thanks.

I agree with, Steve. At least, that is the way I check them.

Cliff Ruggles:
Just compress the unit and hold your finger over the supply.  If it doesn't hold it's not any good.  They used a lot of different pull-offs, which require different amounts of vacuum to fully apply them.

Some later units have a "bleed-off" hole in them, so they will always fail a vacuum test. Make sure to hold a finger over that hole as well when testing them.....Cliff
