is this the correct Carb for 72 vette

I have 72 vette 350 SB 200 HP with a quad # of 7043234. the car should have a 7042203 in it. My question is should I rebuild this existing  carb or replace with the correct type or is there really not much of a difference?
Carb is leaking, hard to start after shutting off/sitting on hill.

 Depends on what you want. For a number's matching, yes, the #7042203 carb is the correct carb for your application. Probably not much difference between it and the other carb though.
