I wish these manuals were available on the net, but I am real happy there is guys like you around to provide valuable info!!
Some more questions;
The 251 is for 455 manual you say.
Do you have the carb numbers, and jet specs, for 350 man. and auto, and 455 auto too? 72 Olds..
Thanks
Hansi

Sorry, been out of town for awhile.
For the Olds 350 M/T & A/T, I believe they came with 2-bbls only. Not 100% sure. But, they would be part numbers 7042155 for M/T and 7042156 for A/T. Stock jets for 7042155 are .054" and .051" for the 7042156.
As for the 455 A/T carb, it is part number 7042252. Stocks specs were Primary Jets .069", Primary Metering Rods 50B, Secondary Hanger K and Secondary Metering Rods CH. Looks to be the same as the 7042251 as you can see.

Ethan,
Thanks a million!
I am fairly sure there was a 4-bbl "high output" 350 available. I think I saw it at some Olds site, if memory serves me.
Also there is a posting at an Olds forum site stating that 250 carb was for 350, and 251 was for 455.....?
Anyway, these carbs(155 and 156) are 2-bbl, right?

Seems that engine code L-32 was 350 2-bbl, 160hp and there was a L-34 350 4-bbl with 180 hp.

Missed carb 7042250. That carb could have been used on either M/T or A/T. Yes, the 250 was for the 350 and the 251 was for the 455. Also, the 155 and 156 are both stock for the 350. Maybe for the L32. The L34 might have used the 250 carb.
Carb 7042250 stock specs were .069" Primary Jets, Primary Metering Rods 50B, Secondary Hanger K, and Secondary Metering Rods CG.
