air bleeds
« on: January 14, 2014, 09:20:04 AM »
:)hi. kinda new here but old to the world. working on a 7044240 (800) and setting it up for recipe number two. i set the main body air bleed at .070 and was wondering if i should set the bleeds in the air horn the same.  the air horn also has air bleeds for the upper idle and they look smaller than the upper air bleeds in the main body. should i set them the same as the upper idle air bleeds. my air horn looks like it has 4 small bleeds in it.  thanks  denny

It's OK to leave the main casting MAB at the stock size, same with the idle airbleeds.  The lower IAB is typically pretty large in those carbs, and the uppers pretty small.  It will balance out fine without any changes.....Cliff
