Q-jet smells of gas

I have filled my car with shell V-Power 91 octane the last two times I gassed up and the smell is GONE. The pump says it is 10% ethanol and is nitrogen enriched. When the smell was present I was gassing up at the local Giant station also using premium fuel. No one at either station has an explanation. Can anyone on this forum shed any light on the situation?

mooseman i don't know where you live but we have real gas here in wyoming. 100 percent pure gas and it cost today.3.65 thats all i run in my carbed vehicles . and there is very little smell when you shut them off.i don't care to purchase something that evaporates faster then i can fill the car.fwiw
