Can you run single air bleed tops on Pontiac,s

My Ram air carb 7040270 is missing the top, ok so i came across a reall nice 7029241 top off a Buick. I see it does not have upper idle air bleeds but does have the main air bleeds. Can i simply just drill & install upper air bleeds in this top & run it on my carb.???

Sorry if i used single air fleed wrong butt i think you get the picture of what i mean.

I've done it successfully on Chevy Q jets.

It will work fine if you add the upper idle airbleeds same location and size that the Ram Air carb used.....Cliff
