Float needle seat

Which needle seat type is preferred,the closed sides or open sides?I see a high flow needle/seat in the store here.Thanks,Jim

Doesn't really matter.  The solid seats were used to help prevent drain-back after shut down.  You can accomplish the same thing with a high flow windowed seat by leaving the clip off the needle during rebuilding.

This new fuel seems fine without the clip, as it simply evaporates away and doesn't leave a sticky residue behind that can glue the needle into the seat.....Cliff
