I am contemplating selling one of my '70 Pontiac Carbs.
I don't want to chance misadvertizing this.
1) I have seen some OEM & SR carter maufactured carbs which use a partial number, and clearly say something akin to "manufactured by Carter for Rochester" on the main casting;
That variation aside, should a latter service replacement carb have a main body, top plate, and base plate with the same casting number as an OEM unit?
2) I have seen several latter replacement carbs which use latter period idle mixture screws (eg: 1968-1970 style versus mid 1970's conical headed types) - can the two safely interchange?
Again, I am asking this so that I can clearly & truthfully represent the carburetor.
Thanks in advance!
