What's good for polishing up the power piston and rods?

PMD1969:
Been  polishing triggers and many mechanical parts and have had great luck with Flitz.  Using a Dremel and a polishing attachment will guarantee no damage to the part you want to polish.

What is the benefit to polishing these parts?
