Jetting Changes for Altitude
« on: May 14, 2014, 05:44:49 PM »
I bought a kit from Cliff a few years ago, when I lived in Phoenix (approx. 900 ft elevation), and have since moved to Utah (approx. 4500 ft elevation).  What changes would I need to make to my carb for the difference in altitude?  My carb has the APT, so am I correct in presuming that I can simply adjust the APT to get the correct mixture, and I would only need to potentially change out the secondary metering rods?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

I lived at 4700 feet for 30 years. Most applications did well about 2 steps leaner than at low altitude on the primaries. Other than that most of the settings were the same.
