How to install metering rod retaining springs???

I have one very distorted, bought a new one, can't figure how it goes on, any advice please, picture's would really help!!

good to go man. I was gonna try to explain it with words but I could not figure out a way to word it and my camera is out of commission. Wish I could figurer out how to scan picture or drawings on to the computer. I have a hard time with computer stuff but I am learning. LOL
