Very rich hot starts
« on: September 18, 2014, 02:46:14 AM »
I had my 68 Rochester 4V rebuilt by you about 5 years ago. I runs excellent! The problem started about a year ago. The choke is working fine. When I shut down when hot, it will restart as long as I don't let it sit to long. After about 30 minutes it takes about 10 seconds to start and blows unburnt fuel. Im thinking a fuel leak?

It may be leaking down some.  To test the casting for leaks it will need to be taken apart and a soap/water mix applied to the bottom plugs, then blow compressed air into the jet holes.  Any leaks will show up as a stream of bubbles.....Cliff
