the difference between the 750 and the 800 is the size of the primary bores, so the size might mean something if the engine was small enough. I am not sure how smal an engine has to be for the 800 primaries to be too large.
I dont think the 800 is too big for a 350. 301's came with 800's from the factory!

If the throttle blades are corroded stuck, I would stay away, the throttle blades may never seal right if you have to bang them free. The " 9 " may stand for mercruiser or cab or fleet vehicle, I'm not sure. Other things to consider are if the linkage needs a kickdown for the trans, also look at the fuel inlet threads closely, it's an expensive fix. Also is a front inlet or side inlet better for your setup. Good luck

 I believe that is correct. From what I remember at least. :o
