Edelbrock metering rods compatability
Cliff Ruggles:
It will be fine as long as the new one is driven into the correct depth below the casting surface.....Cliff

Thanks, Cliff.
I have a question concerning power pistons. In my QJ containers I have 4. On three of them the 'arms' that hold the m.rods sit 90* to the piston. On one, however, the arms slant upward, away from the piston, holding the rods further out of the jets. Is that rare?
Also, you mention setting the p.piston screw at (iirc) 3 turns from seated. What is the typical range of travel?
With your #1 recipe, in a 17059272, full size truck with an inline 300, I was thinking of starting with .072 jets and your 44 rods? What do you think?
Cliff Ruggles:
The PP arms should be even and level. If they are bent up or down it was done by someone who knows nothing about rebuilding and tuning one of these carburetors, or accidentally when they pried the PP out of the carb....Cliff
