sorry but weird question here on lingage secondary arm.
« on: February 27, 2015, 09:35:05 PM »
Ive probably rebuilt 40 carbs so far and just seeing some lingage thats bent one way and other another. Its the loop the way it gos into secondary arm. Question is are they basically all the same?? If you look at secondary arm the way the rod go,s thru it andothers are bent the opposite way??? weird. Both function the same way??? worried about contact point on arm. Love to here any and all comments on this. I can post a picture if neccessary.Anybody know what yrs were bent one way and what yr. the were bent in the opposite direction??? Thanks for a great forums room!!!

I see them moved and bent by people trying to adjust the secondary point, but that is not the way to do it as you know.  I haven't noticed any pattern though, if there was one on original units.

Glad you posted the pictures. I was referring to something else.  What is the "backwards" one from.  I haven't run across that.  The majority of my builds are 68-76 years.

Never noticed that the linkage was reversed in the later years.
I have only worked on mid 80's carb.
