good carb for eng.?

Hi ,I have a 17059253-0249-8zaj carb and as far as I can see it is for a 79- 403 FB. Would this work ok on my 455 .030 over 455 that will have 6x4 heads and going in a 76f/bird w/auto ,308 ? Thanks

 That sounds like one that will work. Post the specs of the cam, tranny, etc. as well.

E 979 P elgin stage 2 and a th350 trans .  Thanks for the help

Excellent carb, nearly identical to the one I use on my own 455 engine.  It will need some help in a few areas, but nothing better out there for what you are doing.  Contact the shop when you are ready to set it up, we have everything you need to set it up exactly for what you are doing.....Cliff
