pcv hose connection

Pontiac 455 w/performer , Is there a big problem with hooking up the pcv hose to the bottom plate vacuum that is the same size outlet ? Thanks ,Q/jet carb .

The 3/8" fitting in the baseplate is designed for PCV, as it distributes vacuum evenly to all the cylinders....Cliff
