I guess my main concern was making fuel related adjustments in the cooler environment when the fuel is more dense. The car fired up in less than 5 sec of cranking but idled kind of rough until it warmed up, then it was idling high (around 1400rpm). I think my choke pull off is bad. I tested it with my finger during the rebuild and it was fine, but maybe somewhere along the way before I put the carb back on the 40 year old piece decided to give up. It did not pull open the choke any after starting and I had to push it in with my finger for it to stay there. Since the pull off was sucking air the idle mix screws did next to nothing, and the extra air is why the idle is so high in my opinion. I will finish tuning when my new pull off arrives.
