q'jet differences
« on: October 26, 2015, 05:31:17 PM »
I have two q'jets off of two '69 Pontiac's

The first is coded as a 7262 unit off a std 428 motor.  360 hp

The second is coded as a 7268 unit off a 428HO motor, 390 hp.

I'd like to know what the differences in the jets, needles, float, etc... are between the two.

Where can I find replacement parts to match the original specifications of each carb?  Do I want to do that with today's gas?

Thanks,  Brad

Cliff recently posted he was very busy at the shop, so I would email him with your engine specs. He can recommend the right setup for your combination. Good luck

For 1969 engines they carburetor numbers should be 7029262 and 7029268.  They may be stamped 29262 and 29268.

1967 carburetors would be 7027262 and 7027268.....Cliff
