Plugging large hole on the front of top.

77cruiser:
What do you guys use to plug the emission hole 3/8 tube on the front of late model carbs? I think it's the charcoal canister hose.
The hole is .371 thought 3/8 cup plug would work but they measure .385.
I made a nice brass plug tapered it on the lathe, but something easier would be nice.

 How about filling with lead?

77cruiser:
Didn't think of that a musket ball might do it.

Mr.Pontiac:
Marine tex work??? Great stuff just wish it was a little more carb. colored to match the body& top. Dark to black just not getting it.

Cliff Ruggles:
We just melt some lead in the hole then smash it flat with a large flat faced round punch, it's not fussy.....Cliff
