That carb is a poor choice to replace the original 1976 Pontiac q-jet.  NOTHING is right about it aside from the straight in fuel inlet.

Linkage is wrong, wrong type of choke, incorrect vacuum source in the rear of the baseplate, and "goofy" linkage for the throttle cable.  It also lacks the large front vent to locate the air cleaner base and seal off the leak there......Cliff

 Missed that part. Definitely get the original Qjet rebuilt. Sell the 1969 Qjet. You will thank yourself later. Trust me! :)
