Plugging large hole on the front of top.

What do you guys use to plug the emission hole 3/8 tube on the front of late model carbs? I think it's the charcoal canister hose.
The hole is .371 thought 3/8 cup plug would work but they measure .385.
I made a nice brass plug tapered it on the lathe, but something easier would be nice.

Didn't think of that a musket ball might do it.

We just melt some lead in the hole then smash it flat with a large flat faced round punch, it's not fussy.....Cliff

I usually pull the hose nipple and tap it for a 3/8" setscrew.  You can get enough thread to screw in a setscrew with thread sealant and call it good.
