Throttle blade attaching screws
« on: May 04, 2016, 08:34:13 AM »
What's the best way to secure the throttle blade screws (primary/secondary shafts)?

Anyone ever tried Loctite?

Anyone ever had a screw come loose? It seems they fit very tight.

I've loctited (red) many of them, never had a problem, but lately I've started re-staking them.

I have used red loctite and stake them for years.  Thankfully, never had an issue.
Even the loctite will make them hard to remove without direct torch heat.

no.1 thing is to be sure screws are clean. locktite is worthless if theres any type of lube film. i use bearing mount ,takes about 300 degrees to loosen it up. fwiw
