Ah you guys were right, I did misread the number, it is a 2! Sorry about that!! My dimly lit garage and old eyes tricked me!

Here's a pic of the carb. Does it have the right bracket for a kickdown cable?

that is a strange looking chevy carb. I guess the lower nub would be for kick-down. I am not sure though.

That is a Buick carburetor, probably 76-79.  The kick down linkage is correct for a TH350.

The part number should be 1705X240 or 244.  The X would be a 6, 7, 8 or 9.  I could tell more with a frontal view of the carburetor.....Cliff
