hot idle compensator
« on: July 29, 2016, 02:56:36 PM »
I have a stock 67 Buick Riviera with a 7027240 carb on it. I am getting ready to build a spare carb of the same number. The hot idle compensator is not sealing at room temperature. How important is that device for normal street driving? Can I just plug it off or find a new one? The car does have air conditioning.

The HIC is not needed, plug the passage with lead and don't worry about it....Cliff
