Q jet at 9000 rpm? Is that possible?
(1/1)
omaha:
Hey everyone, gone awhile but back now. Anyway I was looking through some old magazines {super stock} from the early 90's and was intrigued at this certain race car. This was one of those GT class racers that was started back then. Anyway I was reading the article and it was a chevrolet powered cavalier with a small block. I was surprised that it had a Q-jet on top of the engine [360 cubic inches]. Also in the article it stated the redline at 9000 rpm. I was really intrigued with that, especially since the photo revealed an early style of carb. How many R's is everyone turning out there with their Q-jet? Is this possible? Hello to everyone.

No carburetors is RPM limited, you just have to make sure to keep them full on hard runs, so fuel coming in has to be greater than fuel going into the engine.......Cliff
