good carb or not

While we are on the subject, how about this one 17056212 ABH 0317.

Codes as 1977 Chevy Truck 454. Would this be a good candidate for 500hp 455 Pontiac?

Some of those were front inlet, they were also 750cfm.  They have the large MAB's, and work better if completely recalibrated when used outside their original application.  Still very nice carburetors and would do fine on a 455 at 500hp.......Cliff
