Powder coating

I searched but didn't find any real definitive answer. Has anyone powder coated a quadrajet and does gasoline have any I'll effect on it? Just curious not sure if I'm actually going to do it or not.

A quality powder coating should not have any ill-effects from the gasoline or any other chemicals for that matter. Look at Edelbrock, that Endurashine is powder coating and is not quality, in my opinion. It won't flake off though. That is a good thing. Just discoloration from gasoline varnish/ethanol (white deposits and dark marks). It will clean off though with brake cleaner. Takes a lot of scrubbing. Do NOT toss it in the Berryman's Chem Dip. That will take OFF the powder coating!
