 Could you use the two Helicoils? A 1" Helicoil reduced down with a 7/8" Helicoil? Can't think of any other way.

 Don't know. You would have to contact him. I believe there called twinsert helicoils. He may have another way as well. Give him a call. I know he just had knee surgery, so I don't know if he is back in the shop now.
