« on: February 28, 2017, 01:26:57 PM »
Hi all,
I have a 1705 Qjet that is recipe 1 pretty much that was set up on a 350ish 396 BB. I am going to put it on a 350 290HP crate engine. I would like some help with a good starting point on setup. Jetting, metering rods, etc.

Thanks for your input.

I thought that is what you meant. That is I believe a LARGE SMAB carb. I think you might be able to leave those alone. I would put .074" primary jets in it 52M primary metering rods and CR secondary rods in it. What are the cam specs on that engine?

It should be pretty close. Either engine should have about the same idle quality.
