700r4 throttle shaft

Mr Hand:
I plan on sending you a 76-79 qjet for the small block in my 55 Chevy.

I  plan on using a 700r4 OD trans.

Can I send you a later qjet throttle shaft (1985ish) that has the TV cable hook up to use on the earlier carb I send you?

Can you swap the thottle shaft or just install the arm on the carb for me?

The later throttle shaft will work as-is unless it is from a CCC unit.  The link up to the pump arm is larger on those.

We can remove the end by grinding off the staked area and MIG weld it to the earlier shaft.

Another option is to drill the accl pump arm lever for the larger link and just use the later CCC shaft as it is.......Cliff
