Base flange gasket differences

I didn't realized there were so many base gaskets available. I was curious to see what the difference between an open (1 hole) and 3 hole gasket is.

This is my stock intake and gasket that came with it.  I received a replacement gasket that is open. Will it make a difference at all?

The gasket in the picture is for an Oldsmobile intake, not the SBC.  That intake takes a thick open gasket and if you got the kit from us one should have been in their for it.......Cliff
