Holley Avenger
« on: May 03, 2010, 08:24:16 AM »
I have a Holley Street Avenger 770cfm.  the choke system works fine except for the pulloff or break at startup.  The butterfly gap is too small giving a super rich condition until the electric choke catches up.  The 4160 insturction sheet says to bend a tang inside the housing --- however the Avenger has only the tang attached to the internal piston that inserts into the coil of the choke housing.  There are really no rods to bend to adjust either.

Any ideas on this issue.
BTW - The Q-jet is a much easier break to adjust as needed.  But I want to get this one working.  Thx

Closed - The Holley Avenger has a piston chamber for the choke pull off.  there is a screw in the side that controls how far the piston can close.  You scrap out the putty and adjust the screw for the correct pull off.  Much digfferent than a 4160.

Demand compensation from Communist China for the damage done by the Virus Originating in the Wuhan Lab, released (intentionally or negligently) into the world in 2019 (VOWL-19).  Trillions of dollars, plus direct compensation to individuals for medical bills, and "wrongful death" settlements.
