Jet sizes for a stock Pontiac 455

(1/1)

Blockman301:
Hi,

I recently purchased a quadrajet from a junkyard off a mid 70s Pontiac car to put on the '73 Pontiac 455 that I am rebuilding. After closer inspection of the casting number, I found it came off of a '77 Olds with a manual transmission (Carb #17057253). The secondary metering rods are missing and I have order a basic rebuild kit from the website. I was wondering what the stock jet size would be for a stock Pontiac 455? Also, how would I go about adding an electric choke to the carburetor?

Thanks in advance,
Nehemiah

Call the shop and we will get you the correct tuning parts, e-choke conversion, etc to go with the rebuild kit.

Those are excellent units and we use a lot of them for our custom carburetors.  They just need a little help with tuning parts and make an excellent high performance carb when you're done with it......Cliff

Sounds great! I'll give the shop a call when I'm ready to order.

Thanks!
