Best way to check sec. metering rode hanger??

Whats the easiest way of checking them, i have been using a piece of glass and lying them straight down and seeing if they are even, or have rocking motion.

Cliff Ruggles:
I made a tool to check them decades ago from piece of flat bar that is the same width as the q-jet bracket that holds them.

I very carefully drilled several holes in it using factory hangers as a guide and "squared" it on top where the hanger sits.

You simply have to put the hanger down on the flat bar and reference the drilled holes and make sure it's exactly even side to side......Cliff
