17058266 1978 Trans Am quadrajet Charcoal Cannister Hookup?

Cliff rebuilt this carb. about two months ago.  There is a larger port to the right of the fuel filter housing.  My vacuum lines diagram shows it going to the charcoal cannister.  I am no longer running a cannister.  Does this port get plugged off now or do I do something else?
Please help.  Thank you!

Cliff Ruggles:
The large 3/8" port just to the right and just above the fuel inlet is a vent, nothing more.  If you aren't using it plug the fitting so nothing finds it's way into the carburetor.....
