Pontiac Q-Jet
« on: October 06, 2018, 04:43:34 AM »
I just picked up a 7028276.  From what I can determine, it's for a 68 A and B body RAI and RAII 400.  Does this sound correct?

Most 7028276 carburetors are "Service Replacement".  If it is an original unit there will be a Plant Code and 1968 model year Julian Date on it as well.

If it's dated later than 1968 it will be a replacement carb sold over the counter from GM......Cliff

Yes, it's a service replacement, but it is correct for the engines I mentioned, right?

Thanks

They were sold as Service Replacement units so covered many applications even though the number indicates 1968 Firebird 400 auto trans w/Ram Air.......Cliff
