I want to thank all the board and Cliff for helping me along the way with my build. Finally got it all dialed in and it runs fabulous! With Cliff's parts, book and forum help it's finally done. this thing is on a decently hot SBC in a street camaro, starts great, runs great everywhere from idle to WOT. I had to take it apart several times to get the bypass air and MAB right. But man this beast runs! All the crap about you cant use a Qjet on a performance motor is a big misnomer. Nail this baby from a 2000 rpm roll and it will go to 6500 in about 4 seconds. People talk about a Qjet moan, this thing makes a large BOOM sound! It runs better than 99% of the carbs on performance motors around here where i live.
I love popping the hood and how I get alot of eye rolls and lemon faces when they see the carb. Then i usually get a lecture on how bad Qjets are. I don't get any of that after they ride in my car!
