EDELBROCK 1910 QJET

(1/1)

qjetsrule:
The Edelbrock 1910 Q-Jet is rated at 850cfm, what's the difference between it and a large primary Rochester Q-Jet? Thanks

Cliff Ruggles:
The Edelbrock 1910's are the same exact castings as their 1903, 1904 and 1905's.  They were patterned from the early 1990 Chevy Truck units.

On the 1910 they used a shorter stop for the secondary air flap shaft so it opens further, and added "tabs" to the air flaps.

It has a much richer calibration for idle as well, otherwise it's the same as any other later model Chevy truck carb......Cliff

qjetsrule:
Are  the secondary air flap "TABS" better than the normal flat tabs? Would this only benefit Chevy engines or were the tabs designed for all engines? Thanks

Cliff Ruggles:
The tabs do pretty much nothing from what I can tell.......Cliff
