Power Piston Retainer

Guys, how is the power piston retainer installed? Not in the main body, but onto the piston itself.
Do you separate the hanger from the piston by pulling it out?

The replacement plastic retainer is cut so you can slip it around the flat neck of the power piston. There might be some video on YouTube.  Carefully look at the power piston arms that hold the rods. They can get bent from prying the piston out, this will affect fuel metering. Good luck.

The OEM type requires that you remove the hanger from the piston.

The one in our rebuild kit is a "split collar" and slips easily in place after you remove the original collar.

All of our kits come with them if your carb uses one........Cliff
