Difficult modification to make.  I haven't tried it or found the need to.

I have noticed differences in length and location and the factory "high performance" units will often be considerably different from the "grocery getter" carbs used the same year on lower HP engines.......Cliff

It's good to know the factories experimented a little. Been thinking about modding the slot for awhile. The transfer slot controls such a small but critical rpm range. It would take back to back testing with identical carbs to note any improvement. Thanks Cliff.
